English soccer star Michelle Agyemang, darts player Luke Littler and cricket star Davina Perrin have been named as finalists for the upcoming Young Sports Star of the Year award.

The trio have been celebrated for their outstanding achievements over the previous year.

Agyemang was instrumental as the Lionesses win Euro 2025, Littler won the world title for the first time, and Perrin rose to fame with a record-breaking innings.

Littler was the recipient in 2024 after his remarkable rise.

The finalists were announced live on a national radio breakfast show.

This year's winner will be unveiled on the Sports Personality of the Year show on the 18th of December.

The event will be broadcast from seven in the evening GMT.

Michelle Agyemang

Age: 19 Sport: Football

Just three months after her international debut, Agyemang played a pivotal and thrilling role in England's run to winning the Euros.

She was introduced as a substitute to score vital last-gasp goals in both the knockout stage games.

Agyemang's stunning interventions led to her being named the best young player at the Euros.

Afterwards, she was awarded the prestigious Golden Girl honour for the best young player in Europe.

She was also nominated for the Kopa Trophy for the planet's top young female footballer.

Agyemang, who has been playing for Brighton on loan from Arsenal, sustained a serious knee injury in October.

"To be named a finalist for Young Sports Personality of the Year is incredible," said Agyemang. "I'm grateful to God and I'm appreciative of the support I've received from my family, coaches, team-mates and fans."

Luke Littler

Age: 18 Sport: Darts

Littler's 2025 began in incredible form as - at just 17 years old - he became the earliest-ever winner in history.

He secured a commanding win over Michael van Gerwen in the final.

His follow-up triumph at the World Matchplay made him only the fifth individual to complete the prestigious three major tournament wins.

His success continued - his win in November's Grand Slam of Darts meant he reached world number one for the maiden occasion.

At 18, he is the youngest man to do so, shattering the previous record.

"Being nominated for the honour once more is a huge privilege," stated Littler. "My victory in 2024 was a proud moment for me and I've had another incredible 12 months. I want to continue promoting darts."

Davina Perrin

Age: 19 Sport: Cricket

Perrin is one of English cricket's top prospects and rose to fame with an remarkable and historic innings in August.

Her brilliant 42-ball century in The Hundred is the quickest ever by an English female in T20s.

It also stands as the joint third-fastest women's T20 century in a premier tournament.

Perrin came in second place in the season's run tally and was named PCA Women's Young Player of the Year.

"I'm deeply humbled to be shortlisted for the Young Sports Personality of the Year award," expressed Perrin. "It's a very special feeling. I hope it encourages more young women to get into cricket."
